Street Homelessness Across African Cities
Co-hosted by the Institute of Global Homelessness (IGH) and the University of Pretoria, this webinar will engage practitioners and organizations across Africa to exchange evidence, policy approaches, and on-the-ground experience in addressing street homelessness. This session is an opportunity for cross-regional learning to share diverse perspectives and highlight opportunities for collaboration to address gaps in street homelessness prevention and eradication, while building momentum toward the International Journal on Homelessness Conference to be held in Tshwane, South Africa, in January 2027.

International Journal on Homelessness (IJOH) 2027 Conference
The IJOH 2027 Conference will be held on January 26-29, 2027, at the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, City of Tshwane, South Africa, in partnership with the Ruff Institute of Global Homelessness (IGH) and the Center for Faith & Community at the University of Pretoria. The call for abstracts is open until March 20, 2026. Visit the IJOH Conference website for information about call for abstracts, registration, and more. The conference is inclusive of all knowledge and disciplines related to preventing and ending homelessness, featuring keynote speakers, panels, presentations, discussion forums, and optional site visits to local organizations.
