Climate Change: Multiple Risks for Homeless Women and Girls is a parallel event to the 66th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66). During this event, a panel, moderated by Jean Quinn – Executive Director ofUNANIMA International and Co-Chair of the Working Group to End Homelessness, will propose policies and programs to strengthen the resilience and support homeless women and girls during climate crises.

Event Highlights:

  • Lived Experience of Homelessness and natural disasters

  • Climate Change and unsheltered/inadequately housed women and girls – Greater health risks, trauma, hunger, risks of violence

  • Displacement and Migration: risks and disadvantages

  • Gender-Sensitive Policies and Programs to alleviate displacement and homelessness
